Malvine Gidorkis has been a project manager in educational publishing since initially starting out in the industry with South-Western Publishing/Cengage Learning as a Production Editor in 1989. As Senior Project Manager, Malvine has managed numerous legacy A-list Accounting and Econ titles, as well as physical sciences, geography, human development, criminal law, and statistics.

Malvine graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s in English/Writing Emphasis from Waynesburg University in 1987.

Her skills include:

  • Attention to detail, while managing overall developmental and production processes and resources, including writing, editing, composition, art creation, proofreading, and scheduling

  • Maintaining continuous and fruitful communications between publisher, authors and SMEs, freelancers, researchers, and comp/art/photo teams to instill conformity to quality standards and schedule needs

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, managing multiple simultaneous projects and often on same delivery milestone dates

  • Establishing and maintaining seamless and communicative working relationships with customers, colleagues, and freelancers to ensure all are working on the same page to achieve common defined goals
