Jana Lewis
Project Manager
Jana Lewis has been a project manager in educational publishing since 2006, starting with Thomson Learning/Cengage Learning as a Content Project Manager. She managed many titles in Business, Economics and Accounting, and was the discipline lead for Real Estate, then Finance and Decision Sciences. Jana also worked on several K-12 Accounting and Financial Management titles. As a freelance project manager, Jana worked on college-level Psychology, Environmental Science, Engineering, and Geography titles. During this time, she also managed development of ancillaries.
Jana graduated summa cum laude from Northern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s in History in 2014. Her favorite hobbies are boating, traveling, reading, and writing.
Her skills include:
Management of editorial and overall project coordination
Attention to detail, managing all aspects of production from manuscript review, hiring and reviewing quality of freelancers, as well as maintaining the budget and schedule
Exceptional time management and organizational skills, managing multiple simultaneous projects and often on same delivery milestone dates
Establishing open communication between publishers, authors, and editorial personnel to ensure projects are on track and on budget
